Sade – Diamond Life

Diamond Life (1984) is Sade’s debut album, featuring the singles “Your Love Is King”, “When Am I Going To Make A Living”, “Smooth Operator”, and “Hang On To Your Love.” The album was recorded at Power Plant Studios (England). The vinyl audio uses high resolution digital transfers of the stereo master mixes, from the original studio recordings, remastered at half-speed at Abbey Road Studios. The elaborate, half-speed mastering process has produced exceptionally clean and detailed audio whilst remaining faithful to the band’s intended sound. No additional digital limiting was used in the mastering process, so the album benefits from the advantage of extra clarity and pure fidelity, preserving the dynamic range of the original mixes, presented on pure 180-gram heavyweight black vinyl. The original album sleeve and packaging elements have been meticulously reproduced in exact detail with authentic paper and printing methods.

Sade – Promise

Promise (1985) is Sade’s second album, featuring the singles “The Sweetest Taboo”, “Is It A Crime?”, and “Never As Good As The First Time.” The album was recorded at Power Plant Studios (England) and Studio Miraval (France). Stronger Than Pride (1988) is Sade’s third album, featuring the singles “Love Is Stronger Than Pride”, “Paradise”, “Nothing Can Come Between Us”, “Turn My Back On You”, and “Haunt Me.” The album was recorded at Compass Point Studios (Bahamas), Studio Miraval (France), and Studio Marcadet (France). The vinyl audio uses high resolution digital transfers of the stereo master mixes, from the original studio recordings, remastered at half-speed at Abbey Road Studios. The elaborate, half-speed mastering process has produced exceptionally clean and detailed audio whilst remaining faithful to the band’s intended sound. Avril Lavigne – Let Go

Let Go celebrates 20+ years as one of the most influential pop punk albums of the early 2000’s. Originally released in June of 2002, Let Go became an instant sensation with hits such as “Complicated,” and “Sk8ter Boi” dominating the charts and airwaves. Pressed on black vinyl. LP includes two 140-gram vinyl.

Boogie Down Productions – Criminal Minded

BDP’s first album–and the only one to include the late DJ Scott La Rock–sounded harder than hell when it came out in 1987. Though the simple beat-box patterns on a few tracks sound dated, most of La Rock’s tracks are bluntly effective, especially the AC/DC riff he appropriates on “Dope Beat.” And KRS-One still performs most of his Criminal Minded rhymes, because his audience knows them word for word: the ultraviolent dancehall of “9mm Goes Bang,” the battle cry of “South Bronx” (and its counterpart, the anti-Juice Crew screed of “The Bridge Is Over,” with its little Billy Joel homage), the catalog of La Rock’s condom collection on “Super-Hoe.” KRS bloomed later; here, he just rocked. –Douglas Wolk

Daryl Hall – D. (Indie Exclusive, Limited Edition, Silver Colored Vinyl, Gatefold LP Jacket)

Daryl Hall – “D” / Legendary singer, pop culture icon, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and one half of the most successful duo of all time, Daryl Hall, returns for the first time in over a decade with his new solo project, “D.” The album, including lead single “Can’t Say No To You,” was produced by Dave Stewart of Eurythmics fame. Indie Exclusive Silver LP in gatefold jacket. Limited Edition.

Sufjan Stevens – Seven Swans (Indie Exclusive, Colored Vinyl, 20 Year Anniversary Edition)

The follow-up to 2003’s Michigan, Sufjan Stevens’ Seven Swans was released originally in 2004. The Guardian dubbed it “a record of remarkable delicacy,” and Billboard called it a “consistently moving, subtly beautiful experience.” To celebrate the 20th anniversary of this now-beloved piece of Sufjan’s catalog, AKR is releasing a limited indie-exclusive physical edition. Pressed on silver vinyl and housed in a matte jacket with embossing and a spot gloss finish, the LP package will include a flexi disc featuring two bonus tracks, “I Went Dancing With My Sister” and “Waste of What Your Kids Won’t Have.”

Team Sleep – Team Sleep

Team Sleep features Chino Moreno from Deftones, plus Todd Wilkinson and CrookOne. The self-titled is their only album, originally released in 2005, and includes the single “Ever (Foreign Flag)”. An expanded version of the album is now available as a double-LP on black vinyl. This vinyl release features two previously unreleased outtakes: “Let’s Go” featuring Mary Timony, and “Kool Aide” featuring Mike Patton (Faith No More).
