MGMT – Loss Of Life (Indie Exclusive, Blue Clear Vinyl, 140g, Gatefold LP Jacket) and Regular Version
MGMT’s album “Loss Of Life” is a collection of songs about love and change. Described as bold, flavorful, and optimistic, it was produced by MGMT and Patrick Wimberly, with additional production by Dave Fridmann. The album features Christine and the Queens and artwork licensed from John Baldessari’s estate. Since their formation in 2002, MGMT has released influential albums, including their debut “Oracular Spectacular” in 2007, which sold over 2 million copies worldwide and produced hits like “Kids”, “Electric Feel”, and “Time to Pretend”. These songs have been streamed over 2 billion times. MGMT continues to maintain their relevance, releasing albums “Congratulations” (2010), “MGMT” (2013), and “Little Dark Age” (2018).

Ghost Funk Orchestra – A Trip To The Moon (Seaglass W/ Black Swirl Colored Vinyl) and Regular Version
Coming off the heels of 2022’s A New Kind of Love, A Trip To The Moon sees GFO diving even deeper in the worlds of film music, exotica, and psychedelic surf rock. The aim is to create a layered and collaged listening experience with more elements than you could possibly pick out in a single listen. The guitars are fuzzy and flooded with spring reverb, and the horns are arranged in a studio big band fashion. It’s full of big compositions with garage rock attitude. Influences range everywhere from Eddie Palmieri and Esquivel to The Lively Ones, Dusty Springfield, and War. The tracks are tied together by real recorded transmissions from the Apollo moon missions. The concept for the album is a story about a woman stranded on earth by her cosmonaut partner, left to ponder his whereabouts and whether or not he’ll make it back from the cosmos alive.

Industrial/metal/glam outfit Orgy was the first act signed by Korn’s Jonathan Davis to his Elementree imprint, and the move paid off right away with their 1998 debut, which went Top 30 and scored a huge hit with it’s cover of New Order’s “Blue Monday.” Somehow, though, this enduring late-’90s favorite has eluded a vinyl release… till now! With the full cooperation of the band, it’s been remastered for vinyl (by Mike Milchner of Sonic Vision) and placed this platter inside a beautiful gatefold jacket. Clear with red and yellow swirl pressing!
