Fun Boy Three – Fun Boy Three 40th Anniversary Edition (Red Colored Vinyl, 180 Gram Vinyl, Remastered)
Fun Boy Three was formed by Terry Hall, Lynval Golding and Nevile Staples after leaving The Specials in the Summer of 1981. Taking on a more pop sensibility, the band released their debut single, The Lunatics (Have Taken Over The Asylum), reaching number 20 in the UK charts in October 1981. The endurance of the track still resonates today and led to the reformed Specials, featuring Terry and Lynval, to re-record the track on their 2019 comeback album ‘Encore’.
On their second single, they were joined by Bananarama for a a cover of the old jazz standard ‘T’Ain’t What You Do (It’s The Way That You Do It)’ which reached number 4 in the UK charts (Feb ’82). A third single from the album, The Telephone Always Rings, was also a top 20 hit single, which completed a trio of hits in the bands first year. This debut album, The Fun Boy Three, was released in March 1982, and was a top 10 hit in the UK, going on to achieve gold status.
Fun Boy Three – Waiting (Blue Colored Vinyl, 180 Gram Vinyl, Remastered)
Following on from the success of their debut album and a one off single, a cover of the George Gershwin’s ‘Summertime’, the Fun Boy Three went into the studio at the end of 1982 with David Byrne (Talking Heads) producing.
The album features the singles ‘The More I See (The Less I Believe)’, ‘The Tunnel of Love’ and ‘Our Lips Are Sealed’, the later is co-written with Jane Wiedlin of The Go Go’s who supported The Specials on tour in the UK in 1980. The album took on a more sophisticated sound and lyrical content, tackling more political issues like the troubles in Northern Ireland. It also has a cover of the Miss Marple theme tune from the 1960’s film series Murder She Said starring Margaret Rutherford. The album reached number 14 in the UK charts in February 1983 followed by a tour, after which the band disbanded.

General Public – All The Rage
All the Rage is the debut studio album by English new wave band General Public, released on 28 January 1984 by I.R.S. Records. It was recorded digitally. After his expulsion from the Clash, Mick Jones was a founding member of General Public. Though he is listed in the credits of the album as a member, Jones left General Public part way through the recording process and was replaced by Kevin White. White’s picture appears on the back cover; Jones’ picture does not. Jones did play guitar on many of the album’s tracks however, including “Tenderness”.

Digitally re-mastered edition of the 1984 debut album from the legendary British quartet. Arriving in an era dominated by synth pop and gloomy post-punk, the Smith’s eponymous debut was the beginning of a new era. Johnny Marr’s inventive songwriting and ringing guitars were catchy and melodic and were made all the more original by Morrissey’s vocal style and lyrics. Although The Smiths continued to improve over the course of their career, the songs here are vital and alive, making sure that their debut remains startling and exciting to this day.

Digitally remastered edition of this 1986 album from the legendary British quartet. The Queen Is Dead is The Smiths’ great leap forward, taking the band to new musical and lyrical heights. Opening with the storming track, the album is harder rocking record than anything the band had attempted before. Johnny Marr has created here a wide range of guitar styles that provide a musical bed for Morrissey’s best set of lyrics. From which is crafted some of their finest, most affective songs, particularly “The Boy with the Thorn in His Side” and the epic “There Is a Light That Never Goes Out,” two masterpieces that provide the foundation for a remarkable album.

The official soundtrack for A24’s latest film, Everything Everywhere All at once, the album is an explosion of hear-it-to-believe-it collaborations. The most ambitious project to date for experimental trio Son Lux, the 49 track album is fit not only for the screen – scoring the action packed, and deeply moving film – but as an independent album. It’s a feat of musical prowess, combining the signature electronic feel of Son Lux with ornaments of brilliant instrumentation. The features, all anchored by Son Lux’s compositions, include a Mitski & David Byrne Duet, vocals from Moses Sumney and Randy Newman, and flute from the legendary André Benjamin.
